Garmin GPSMAP 740S
This is my current favorite chartplotter - sounder out there right now regardless of price. All Garmin Chartplotters are easy to use but this one takes it a step further with the touchscreen. No more going deep into menus with the push buttons. Now they're right at your finger tips. Want to make a spot? Touch the screen where you want your spot and a big X appears. Want to name it? The entire screen becomes a keyboard to make it absurdly easy. No more hunt and peck thru the alphabet.
Is a touchscreen tough enough for the marine environment? Garmin probably make 10000 times as many touchscreens as any other models combined since the automotive market is so huge.
The screen is sharp, the built in internal antenna is powerful and the processor is fast. Add to it first rate charts, a large 7" screen and what more can you ask?
I've sold a bunch of these and haven't heard a bad word about them yet. Can I get one ready for you?
